If a missional theology explains how we are to live out and prioritize our individual lives, a missional church culture explains how we are to function as a church in light of Jesus mission.
As a church body, our purpose is to organize as a group of believers in such a way that Jesus mission is accomplished bigger and bolder than it ever could have been with each of us acting on our own.
The Scriptures direct us to live as a community that is a witness to the lost around us of Gods love for them. Our worship services are rallying cries for believers, to worship God for what He has already done in our lives, and to stir us up to go out and be the hands and feet of Jesus as we continue His mission to seek and save the lost.
Everything we do as a church is prioritized based on whether or not it brings glory to God by accomplishing Jesus mission. This is conVerges missional church culture.
But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphant procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things? For we are not, like so many, peddlers of Gods word, but as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ. 2 Corinthians 2:14-17; the Apostle Paul, on his understanding of church culture
